Lethality Analysis of 75mm Flapper.
Abstract
A workable formula for the Lethal Area of flechette loaded canister ammunition is derived from the general expression for Lethal Area. Specialized situations associated with canister analysis are emphasized. Among these are a unique 'kill' criterion and a strictly defined tactical situation. An example of the analysis is worked out to show details of the calculation. Results of the analysis of the T30E14, -E15, -E16, -E17, and E20 75mm canister are tabulated and compared with predicted results. (Author)
