Lessons Learned, Headquarters, 2d Infantry Division

Abstract

During the reporting period the Division completed its transition from a tactically oriented posture with two brigades employed on the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), to that of a reserve unit. One brigade, under operational control of I Corps (ROK/US) Group, continues to maintain limited U. S. presence on the DMZ. The remainder of the Division has placed primary emphasis on training and maintenance to achieve and maintain a high state of combat readiness.
