NORLANT 72 Phase 3 Operation Plan

Abstract

This document describes the operational aspects of the joint U. S.- Canadian propagation-loss, signal-to-noise, and ocean-chemistry experiments that comprise Phase 3 of NORLANT 72. The command and control organization, event details, schedules of events, communications plan, and geographic data are delineated for the studies to be conducted August-September 1972 in the Labrador Basin and Davis Strait. The Canadian experiment with which NORLANT 72 interacts is called CANUS BAFFIN '72.
