Investigation into the Manufacture and Properties of Magnesium/Fluorocarbon Compositions for Pyrotechnic Applications. Part 1

Abstract

The magnesium/fluorocarbon range of pyrotechnic compositions has been investigated to discover the control necessary to achieve a reproducible product with the desired burning characteristics. The investigation has included the study of materials from all known sources and also the various stages of preparation between receiving the raw materials and testing the manufactured composition.
