OPTIMIZED COHERENT OPTICAL RECEIVER TECHNIQUES.

Abstract

The design and testing of the image dissector electron gun was successfully completed. The scanning capability of the electron gun was demonstrated by the video presentation and tracking of a small spot of light at any point on the photosurface. The optimum values of magnetic deflection and focusing fields were experimentally found to be within 10% of the design values. Work on the final phase of the program was started with the construction of the first complete scannable microwave photodetector.
