A FUNCTIONAL DECOMPOSITION FOR LINEAR DISCRETE SYSTEMS,

Abstract

The linear difference equation delta sub k y(t sub k) = A(t sub k)y(t sub k) + B(t sub k) u(t sub k) y(t sub o) = y (o) is reduced to a canonical operator theoretic form. This representation consists of a parameterized family of bounded linear transformations into a cartesian product of the underlying scalar field. It gives immediate results for the minimum energy control problem.
