CIRCUMFERENTIAL PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION ON AN INCLINED BODY OF REVOLUTION

Abstract

A summary is presented of the results obtained from wind-tunnel tests of a blunt-nosed body of revolution on which the circumferential pressure distributions at various stations along the body were determined. An empirical equation for calculating the circumferential pressure distributions on the cylindrical portion of the body is developed and compared with the experimental data.
