DEVELOPMENT AND STATISTICAL ANALYSIS EVALUATION OF MELTING AND TRANSVERSE PROPERTIES OF HIGHSTRENGTH (H-11 TYPE) STEEL.

Abstract

Four heats of H-11 material processed by vacuum induction melt-vacuum arc remelt technique have been received by the Contractor. Material was ordered to a specification which requires an average transverse ductility of 12% reduction of area at the 300-330 Ksi ultimate strength level. Material has been processed through complete acceptance testing and has been released for continuation of billet testing and production of the selected forgings. (Author)
