SPIN ECHOES IN MAGNETIC RESONANCE.

Abstract

The report reviews the general theory of nuclear magnetic resonance with particular emphasis on the theory, methods, and techniques of pulsed resonance systems. Descriptions are given of the response of nuclear spins to 1, 2, 3, and multi-pulse arrays relating each to the mathematical development of E. L. Hahn, 1950. Included are oscilloscope pictures of typical examples of the various pulse and echo arrangements illustrating their use in measuring relaxation times (spin-spin and spin-lattice). (Author)
