STRUCTURE OF AN ANOMALOUS HETEROCYCLIC INTERMEDIATE, BY X-RAY CRYSTAL ANALYSIS,

Abstract

An anomalous intermediate, C5H10N20S, was obtained during the preparation of the disulphide of 2-(2-mercaptoethylamino)2-oxazoline. X-ray crystal-structure analysis established the intermediate as a substituted thiazoline, 2-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-2-thiazoline.
