COMPLETE SCATTERING PARAMETERS OF POLYDISPERSED HYDROMETERS IN THE WAVELENGTH 0.1 TO WAVELENGTH 10CM RANGE,

Abstract

A theoretical investigation to introduce a realistic size spectrum for the precipitation drops, including those found near the base of a cloud, and to evaluate as exactly as possible all the rational scattering parameters that are necessary inputs for the formulation of the equivalent radiative transfer problem; in addition to the scattering and absorption coefficients, these parameters include polarization at any scattering angle, per unit volume of space with precipitation and/or cloud particles.
