ON ESTIMATING LOCATION AND SCALE PARAMETERS FROM TRUNCATED SAMPLES

Abstract

Asymptotically efficient estimators are developed for the problem of estimating a location and a scale parameter, using only the observations between the p and q sample quantiles.
