HYDROLYSIS OF ORGANOCHLOROSILANES IN A CONTINUOUS COUNTERFLOW SPRAY.

Abstract

The process of hydrolysis of certain organochlorosilanes was investigated and the possibility for carrying out hydrolysis in a continuous counterflow spray column was revealed. It was shown that the application of the continuous counterflow method led to the production of a polymer which was not qualitatively inferior to the one received by the discontinuous method in the mixing-type apparatus. The plastic prepared on the basis of the polymer showed good physicomechanical properties. (Author)
