SPECIAL TEST EVALUATION REPORTS - STP III: AMERICAN AIR FILTER ECP 90 INVESTIGATION ST-101.

Abstract

The data obtained indicates that both Instrumentation Control Air Compressors were operating normally at all times. The noisy chatter of the check valve observed on the LF compressor suggests that the air compressors which were removed from service at MAFB for excessive noise may not have had an impending failure. The investigation of the two STP III air compressors before and after the installation of AAF ECP 90 did not reveal any deterioration in performance or any impending failures. (Author)
