THE INVESTIGATION OF THERMIONIC CONVERTER OPERATING WITH HIGH TEMPERATURE COLLECTOR.

Abstract

This report presents the current status of an experimental investigation of thermionic converters with high temperature collectors. This program is being conducted in order to permit better definition of performance capabilities for nuclear thermionic systems operation with elevated collector temperatures. The effort has been focussed on materials and temperatures of direct interest to the STAR-R concept. (Author)
