A STUDY FOR RESISTANCE OF CONTAINERS TO CHEMICAL WARFARE AGENTS

Abstract

Twenty-three samples representing nine different types of packaging materials were tested for resistance to permeation by five selected chemical warfare agents. A test system was developed which permitted a specific agent to be placed directly in contact with the test film. The permeability of the film was then estimated by collecting and measuring the agent which was found to pass through the film into an adjacent chamber.
