ELECTROLUMINESCENT RESPONSE TO PULSE EXCITATION.

Abstract

Dissimilar electroluminescent cells were subjected to rectangular pulse excitation under varying parameters of pulse amplitude, pulse width, and repetition rate. Various aspects of the electroluminescent response to this excitation were observed, such as the spectral response, high-pulse-voltage breakdown, visibility of light emission, and average brightness variation. A mathematical expression for average brightness under different parameters of pulse excitation was deduced. (Author)
