PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE. YIG SPHERES AND LIMITERS.

Abstract

An improvement was achieved in sphere surface finish, resulting in reduced linewidths. The RASOR program proceeded satisfactorily. Encapsulation fixtures were constructed which increase the efficiency of alignment and encapsulation. A technique for establishing a correction factor was devised, which enhances the accuracy of the linewidth measurement system. Limiters were high power tested in S band with preliminary tests performed in L band. Temperature stability testing was initiated in C band. Ten batches of single crystal material was fired this quarter. Satisfactory progress was indicated in the quality of the crystals derived. (Author)
