MAGNETIC OBSERVATIONS OF THE EARTH'S CRUST (CONTRIBUTIONS BY S. BLINSTRUBAS): REVIEW ARTICLE.
Abstract
This report deals with ten papers written by the Lithuanian geophysicist, Stasis Blinstrubas, on various aspects of the problem of the magnetometric determination of geological structures within the earth's crust. These papers have been collected from the available Soviet open literature published between 1955 and 1962. The report consists of an introduction, an evaluation of the proposed methods, eight abstracted papers, two translated papers which appeared in the Collectanea acta geologica Lithuanica (Collected papers of the XXI, 1960, Geological Congress) and reproduced without change from the original except for the addition of an English-language translation of the references, and a summary translation of a manual written by G. Nuemann and issued by Askania-Werke, A. G., Geo. 720, 1 July 1938. (Author)
