SOVIET METEOROLOGY AND CLIMATOLOGY: COMPILATION OF ABSTRACTS AND ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY.

Abstract

This is the first of a series of reports on Soviet meteorology and climatology. It is based on Soviet open-source materials available at the Aerospace Information Division and the Library of Congress and covers the period 1960-1962 and part of 1963. Part I, on weather forecasting, is a compilation of abstracts. Parts II and III, on cloud cover frequency and distribution and ice accretion and glaze, respectively, are annotated bibliographies. A brief introduction precedes each part. The 173 entries are numbered consecutively throughout the report, and an author index is provided. (Author)
