IMPROVED PRODUCTION OF POWDER METALLURGY ITEMS.

Abstract

Attempts to consolidate large superalloy powder billets by cold pressing and sintering are described. TZM billets made by powder metallurgy techniques are ready for extrusion. The three superalloy powder billets have been cold pressed and are being hot pressed to density. The extrusion of all these billets to T-sections will be completed shortly. (Author)
