AIR-LAUNCHED ROCKETSONDE STUDY.

Abstract

A study was conducted on the feasibility of incorporating an air-launched ROCKETSONDE into the existing WB-47 AN/AMQ-19 Meteorological System. An economically feasible system was established, one capable of carrying pressure, temperature and humidity sensors to 150,000 FT. Growth capability in the design permits attainment of 400,000 FT altitudes with the same Judi (or Loki II) rocket motor. (Author)
