DESIGN OF VHF CRYSTAL FILTERS USING THE INDUCTIVELY COUPLED LATTICE EQUIVALENT

Abstract

The inherently high Q and excellent temperature characteristics of the quartz crystal now permit the development of a line of precise band-pass filters for VHF applications and an ideal replacement for the less stable LC filters presently in use. The inductively coupled lattice-equivalent design technique was used to design and fabricate crystal filters in the frequency range of 30 to 75 Mc with bandwidths of 50 and 250 kc. This report presents specific design data and response characteristics of the fabricated filters.(Author)
