SIMULATION AND EVALUATION OF PHONETIC SPEECH RECOGNITION TECHNIQUES. VOLUME III. ACOUSTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SPEECH SOUNDS SYSTEMATICALLY ARRANGED IN FORM OF TABLES.
Abstract
The objective of the program is the analysis of design parameters required for the simulation and evaluation of phonemic speech recognition methods. In the report, the results of the evaluation of the literature on acoustical characteristics of speech signals are summarized. The results are presented in form of unified tables and lists. The report consists of several introductory sections (defining technical terms, explaining the arrangement of the tables, etc.), sets of tables and lists containing the description of the acoustical characteristics of each phoneme, and the major differences between similar phonemes. The source for each entry is quoted, and reference is made to the reference list at the end of the report. (Author)
