STARK EFFECTS ON THE QUADRUPOLE COUPLING OF CL(35) IN SODIUM CHLORATE.

Abstract

It is shown that the direct reponse of the covalently bonded chlorate group to fields and field gradients is equally as important as the solid state effects due to local field effects and the change in the lattice-sum contribution to the quadrupole coupling.
