DYSBARISM
Abstract
The review is devoted to a detailed discussion of the various aspects of dysbarism, which is a new term replacing that of decompression sickness. Dysbarism is a term used to mean the symptoms and signs resulting from all changes in barometric pressure. Most of the emphasis is placed on changes in barometric pressure in which the total change in pressure is less than 760 mm. Hg as occurs in altitude dysbarism.
