PARALLEL CHANNEL MULTILOOP FEEDBACK AMPLIFIERS.

Abstract

A class of feedback amplifiers is considered in which a number of stages is connected in parallel with isolation between them, and feedback applied between various stages. This class of amplifiers is shown to have a gain sensitivity far superior to that found in the more conventional single and multiple loop amplifiers with cascaded stages. An experimental amplifier is described which was designed and constructed to verify the theoretical conclusions, and also to investigate such practical considerations as the isolation problem and restrictions on the choice of feedback network connections. The experimental results correlated well with that expected from theoretical considerations. (Author)
