SYNTHESIS OF STEREOSPECIFIC AMINOTHIOLS AS RADIOPROTECTIVE AGENTS.

Abstract

Trans-2-(n-octylamino)-cyclopentanthiol and trans-2(n-decylamino)-cyclopentanthiol were synthesized and submitted for testing. The preparation of cis- and trans-1amino-indane-2-thiol is in progress. Successful reduction methods were developed for the preparation of 2-methyl-4, 5-cyclopentano-thiazolidine and spiro-2, 2-cyclohexano-4, 5-cyclopentano-thiazolidine. The conversion of these two key compounds into the required cis-2-aminocyclopentanthiol is under examination. (Author)
