TELECONFERENCING: BACKGROUND INFORMATION.

Abstract

The background information for a study of teleconferencing may be listed under three headings: (1) teleconferencing per se, (2) traditional face-to-face conferences, and (3) social and psychological processes said to occur in conferences. Each of these three categories is explored briefly in order to assess the value of a more thorough search. Findings and recommendations are given under each heading. (Author)
