EFFECT OF SMALL DISCONTINUITIES ON THE INPUT VSWR OF A LONG TRANSMISSION LINE.

Abstract

The high VSWR resulting from reflections from the many small discontinuities in long transmission lines or waveguides is discussed. Equations predicting the input VSWR dependence on frequency are calculated in an attempt to eliminate the problem. The transmission line approach is used.
