TEST OF INDIRECT METHODS OF ESTIMATING AVAILABILITY PARAMETERS.

Abstract

Several methods of estimating availability parameters are described which assume as their basis that data is provided for the number of units passing and failing checkout and for the period of time each unit stands between checkout. Each method was tested using data generated by computer simulation. The results of these tests are presented and evaluated. (Author)
