ADVANCEMENT OF HIGH TEMPERATURE PROTECTIVE COATINGS FOR COLUMBIUM ALLOYS (II)

Abstract

The objective of the program was (a) to advance and optimize the Cr-Ti-Si coating process for laboratory scale and pilot scale coating furnaces, (b) to determine the protective reliability of the Cr-Ti-Si coating, and (c) to investigate the effects of elevated temperature-reduced pressure (air) exposure upon the protective characteristics of the Cr-Ti-Si coating.
