PEM FOR GOLD-DOPED GERMANIUM INFRARED DETECTOR TYPE IR400.
Abstract
Work was concentrated on fabricating and testing six engineering samples which had barium fluoride windows and sensitive areas 1/2 mm x 1/2 mm. The change in sensitive area from 2 mm x 2 mm, authorized during the fourth quarter, required additional engineering effort beyond that completed under the original provisions of the contract. Work was continued on the Inspection and Quality Control Plan and the Equipment Requirements and Production Rates data. The preproduction phase of the contract was started during this period. Considerable effort was expended on improvement of existing tooling to be used with an optical comparator to assure proper alignment of the cell. Detailed test data on the six engineering samples delivered are included in the appendix to this report. (Author)
