PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR TYPE 7890 SUPER POWER HYDROGEN THYRATRON.
Abstract
The loss of two tubes by failure of a reservoir heater led to a new reservoir assembly which is an improvement over the previous one. The cooling provisions for the grids are adequate for rated conditions but are marginal at the test conditions. Operation (2) life test was passed successfully. Vertical spacing greater than desirable did not cause grid firing characteristics to go beyond specification limits. (Author)
