UTILIZATION OF A CONFORMAL MAPPING TRANSFORMATION FOR DIGITAL COMPUTATION.

Abstract

A procedure was developed, based on conformal mapping techniques, for efficiently determining the points of intersection of conic sections. (The computational simplifications introduced were effected by a methodology which may be construed as the geometrical analogue of operational calculus techniques.) The heuristic approach was pursued throughout. (Author)
