SUPPLEMENT TO AN EVALUATION OF 2-7-HR AVIATION TERMINAL-FORECASTING TECHNIQUES

Abstract

The main body of the report (AD-413 049) contains a description of the extensive procedure used to test and evaluate certain statistical terminal- weather forecasting techniques and a summary evaluation of the results. The supplement contains details of the test too lengthy for inclusion in the main part, some items of interest in themselves but of peripheral importance to the central purpose of the test, and a large number of contingency tables of forecast-vs-observed values.
