THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATION OF DAMPING CONSTANTS OF ONE- TO THREEDIMENSIONAL VIBRATING SYSTEMS.

Abstract

Formulas are deduced for vibrating systems of one, two, and three dimensions. Undamped and damped free vibrations and harmonic forced vibrations are treated. Methods are proposed for calculating the damping constants from test observations. (Author)
