STRUCTURAL FASTENING TECHNOLOGY.

Abstract

The static oxidation portion of the requirement study was essentially completed. Results and conclusions are reported. Manufacture and coating of Cb 752 hardware was completed. Initial tests of deformability of coated columbium alloys were begun, as was the coating comparison portion of the program. A survey of tantalum producers was conducted and the state-of-the-art in tantalum coatings was reviewed and up-dated. Threaded fasteners of Cb 752 for mechanical property tests were completed with the exception of the threading of the nuts. (Author)
