IN REFERENCE TO A NONLINEAR THEORY OF AERODYNAMIC STABILITY,

Abstract

For the purpose of investigating the problem of aerodynamic stability, application is made of the method of successive approximations -- the method of small parameter. The first order of approximation coincides with the usual linear theory. For subsequent approximations, a recurrence system of ordinary differential equations is obtained. It is shown that the boundary of stability and character of change of perturbations in time for successive approximations are determined by the linear approximation. (Author)
