LAUNCHERS, PHASE V, PART II, RESPONSE OF A LAUNCHER UNDERSTRUCTURE DURING A SIMULATED ROCKET LOADING.

Abstract

This report treats the dynamic response of a small tactical rocket launcher understructure during a simulated launch. The understructure is regarded as a flexible triangular frame which pivots about a fixed point at the rear and is supported by springs which simulate the ground support at the front. Results of the study indicate the understructure may play an important role in the suspected balloting of a rocket on the launcher rail. (Author)
