RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ON ADVANCED GRAPHITE MATERIALS. VOLUME IX. FABRICATION AND PROPERTIES OF CARBONIZED CLOTH COMPOSITES.

Abstract

The development of fibrous, carbonaceous composites and laminates is described. Graphite, carbon, and heattreated cloth and graphite and carbon felts are evaluated as fillers. Physical properties of the carbonized and graphitized forms of these materials are tabulated. Test results of these materials as potential hardware components are presented. (Author)
