PERSONNEL EVALUATION AND OPTIMAL ASSIGNMENT,

Abstract

The decision-problem involving the assignment of individuals or groups to tasks or limited areas of responsibility within an organization is considered in two interrelated phases -- performance prediction and assignment. Models are developed for making optimal personnel assignments for a variety of cases which include both qualitative and quantitative performance predictions treated as subject to error and errorless. Information levels for the performance measures and relative values which are utilized are investigated to insure that the two phases of the problem may be efficiently combined. (Author)
