BIPOLAR FLOW IN A SPECIAL MAGNETIC FIELD,

Abstract

It is shown that, in a magnetic field, the effective compensation of the space charge of an ion flow by electrons can occur. By selecting the appropriate magnetic fields, one can achieve as high a reciprocal compensation of the electron and ion space charges as desired. (Author)
