FLOW FIELD CALCULATIONS AROUND A YAWED RIGHT CIRCULAR CONE,

Abstract

A FORTRAN program was written to calculate the flow field about a yawed right circular cone. The program inputs are angle of attack, cone half-angle, free stream Mach number, ratio of specific heats, the number of steps to be taken around the body, and the number of steps to be taken between the body surface and the shock wave. The three velocity components, pressure, density, and non-dimensional entropy at the shock wave, body surface, and intermediate points in the flow field are obtained as a function of the peripheral angle. The program was written in FORTRAN IV for the IBM 7040 computer and may be obtained from the Brown Engineering Company Scientific Programming Section as Program Number SP 82. (Author)
