THE CONVOLUTION MOLECULE METHOD AND ITS APPLICATION TO CRYSTAL STRUCTURE ANALYSIS.

Abstract

Convolution molecules are molecular Patterson diagrams. Inserted in the unit cell properly, as described by the convolution molecular structure, they allow deconvolution of a Patterson diagram, leading to orientational and translational parameters of the molecules. The convolution molecule structures are derived by a new method and are tabulated for all space groups of triclinic, monoclinic and orthorhombic symmetry. (Author)
