CURRENT DISTRIBUTION OF HEMISPHERICAL ELECTRODES IN A HOMOGENEOUS SEMISPACE.

Abstract

A short derivation for the formulas of stationary current flow between two hemispherical electrodes in a conducting halfspace is given. Depth of penetration is calculated and compared with the distance between the electrodes in order to become sure of the reliability of formulas. An experimental determination of resistance per unit area between electrodes and medium is shown to be possible. (Author)
