STUDY OF MICROWAVE RECTIFICATION BY VACUUM TUBES.

Abstract

The object of the work was to perform a detailed study of microwave rectification by thermionic tubes, including construction of experimental tubes for 10 cm, 3 cm and 8 mm wavelengths, in order to prove the feasibility of detection with sensitivity comparable with or better than silicon diodes. Besides the experimental work, a theoretical explanation of the detection effect at high transit angles was developed. (Author)
