LOW-LOSS POLYFOAM DIELECTRIC CABLE. PART I. LOW-FREQUENCY INVESTIGATION,

Abstract

The report covers the evaluation of a commercial type lowloss RF coaxial cable having a foamed polyethylene dielectric core, and also redesign of this cable for use with AS15-37( )/U GRC Antenna equipment. The work includes a study of effects, due to moisture absorption, on the electri cal characteristics of the cable up to frequencies of 100 Mc. The design and evaluation of an improved cable clamp design for the UG-260C/U, BNC Connector are also reported. (Author)
