SINTERING PHENOMENA IN CERAMIC SYSTEMS.

Abstract

The sintering phenomenon in ceramic systems was studied. The scope of research work included: (1) the effect of grain boundaries on the neck growth and on the rate of closure of pores; (2) the sintering mechanism in Fe2O3, MgO-Fe2O3, MgO-Al2O3, and MgO-NaCl; and (3) the sintering of sulfides.
