PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS OF THE X-20 DYNA-SOAR PROTOTYPE FULL PRESSURE ASSEMBLY

Abstract

The X-20 Dyna-Soar Prototype Model Full Pressure Assembly was subjected to a series of tests to determine the performance parameters of the suit. These tests include those considered to be the basic standard performance tests for anthropomorphous protective assemblies in addition to those particularly requested by the Dyna-Soar Project Office. This report presents all the data obtained from the various tests and is presented as indicative of performance parameters only. No attempt has been made to equate the assembly performance with the X-20 Dyna-Soar mission and vehicle performance or with the performance of any other anthropomorphous protective assembly.
